A 2011 report from The Institute of Medicine says more than 100 million Americans suffer from chronic pain. While there isn’t always a cure for chronic pain, I wanted to craft a safe place to meet where you are in your journey, and explore remedies we can have in our tool box when the body isn’t partnering to overcome severe discomfort.

For nearly a decade, I felt prisoner to my body. How about you? In 2014, I was formally diagnosed with endometriosis, interstitial cystitis and a series of gastrointestinal conditions, and they have led to uneven hormones shifts, intense body discomfort, migraines, and ongoing body weight fluctuations; it is not a happy place.

I hit my highest weight and lowest belief in my bodies capacity after a fourth abdominal surgery in September 2016. As the holidays and new year rolled in, I found myself cringing at my very own being: incurable conditions, medical and hospital bills, severe body discomfort, and ongoing doctor appointments. I was at my breaking point with no clear way forward for how to live with chronic and neurological pain. At my most recent surgery, the doctors still found new disease and lesions throughout my abdominal wall. I couldn't make sense of it, yet this required having various organs taken out from severe tissue damage. I didn't want to continue the cycle.

From one chronic pain patient to another, here is a place filled with personally curated ideas and tools for managing chronic pain and muscle soreness.

I would love to hear from you as we continue to move life forward.
